The ocean constantly brings to the surface things that shouldn’t be there: shipwrecks, lost equipment, trash carried away by storms. Usually, the origin of such finds is quickly determined. But sometimes the sea presents mysteries that defy simple explanation.
This is precisely what happened when fishermen began reporting a strange object far from shore to the Coast Guard. At first, they assumed it was a regular navigational buoy torn from its moorings. However, the number of calls grew, and all witnesses described the same thing—a huge, dark sphere, motionless in the water.
Command handed the case over to Captain Arnold Wilkins, a seasoned officer with twenty years of experience.
An hour later, the Coast Guard vessel reached the designated coordinates.
As it approached, it became clear: it was indeed a sphere—a huge one—roughly the size of a small car. The surface was smooth, dark blue, and free of seams, rivets, or signs of corrosion.
As the rescue boat approached, the crew felt a slight vibration.
And then the outline glowed with a soft white light.
The glow intensified, then suddenly faded.
The captain immediately ordered a safe distance.
The information was relayed to command. The area was cordoned off, and civilian vessels were diverted. Federal agencies were involved. The object was designated a priority investigation.
As darkness fell, the sphere remained motionless. Drones observed it from the air. Spotlights illuminated the surface.
At dawn, the surface was covered with condensation, despite the dry air around it. Then the outline glowed again, brighter.
The panel rose smoothly, revealing the interior. The cavity was lined with unfamiliar materials. Inside were structures resembling chairs and control panels.
This wasn’t just equipment.
It was a vehicle. And it was empty. There were signs of use—scuffed surfaces, controls. But no crew, no markings, no legible inscriptions.
The object was transported under heavy guard to a closed research center. The official statement was limited to the wording: “unidentified marine device.”
Details were classified. Those involved in the operation were forbidden from commenting.
For Captain Wilkins, this mission became the most mysterious of his entire service.
The sea has always been considered unpredictable.
But this story showed that something far more inexplicable could lurk in its depths.
